COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT IN MOVEMENT DISORDERs

EDITORIAL COMMENT
There is increasing recognition of cognitive impairment in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) (Rippon et al ), Parkinson’s disease (Janvin et al ) and Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (Millar et al ). Common features are a dysexecutive syndrome affecting daily life well beyond the physical disability associated with these conditions. This is an opportunity to bridge the Movement disorders and the Cognitive disorders fields (and clinics!).
